UIN Raden Fatah Palembang and Zarqa University Strengthen International Cooperation
State Islamic University (UIN) Raden Fatah Palembang and Zarqa University have again strengthened international cooperation. The arrival of the UIN Raden Fatah delegation was welcomed very lively, with extraordinary enthusiasm from the host. The visit of UIN Raden Fatah on this occasion was in the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which had previously been completed with programs that had been implemented optimally. The extension of the MoU between UIN Raden Fatah and Zarqa University was signed directly by the rector of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang and the rector of Zarqa University, and accompanied directly by Muhammad Hartantio as KUAI of the Indonesian Embassy in Amman, Alamsyah as PF Pensosbud and all ranks of the Indonesian Embassy in Amman. The signing of this MoU took place at the Auditorium of Zarqa University Campus, Thursday (7/12/23).
Along with this MoU, guest lecturers & visiting professors were also held. Participants in the activity were very enthusiastic and hoped that in the future they could visit Indonesia in the tridharma program of higher education. Rector of UIN Raden Fatah, Prof. Nyayu Khodijah, expressed his gratitude and extraordinary emotion for the remarks given by the rector and vice rector of Zarqa University. “I express my gratitude infinitely, at the end of 2023, UIN Raden Fatah and Zarqa University can re-establish friendship and strengthen international cooperation through this activity,” said UIN Rector Raden Fatah. Furthermore, Prof. Nyayu said that in addition to extending the MoU, the arrival of the UIN delegation, Raden Fatah also fulfilled the invitation from the best campus in Jordan.
“The arrival of UIN Raden Fatah is not just to extend the MoU, but with the meeting with this cross-country university in the future, UIN Raden Fatah can achieve its mission, which is to become an international superior university,” he said. Prof. Nyayu also said that through this MoU, the two parties will cooperate in the fields of education, research and community service that are internationally oriented. Meanwhile, the Rector of Zarqa University in his speech gave brief information on the programs and advantages of each faculty at Zarqa University. “Zarqa University has a lot of faculties and study programs that have similarities with the study programs owned by UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, so that many opportunities for cooperation can be carried out optimally. The Rector of Zarqa University also said that his party also hopes that in the future it can visit Indonesia, especially to UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.
On a different occasion, in the middle of the KUAI event of the Indonesian Embassy in Amman, Muhammad Hartantio invited the president of Zarqa University and the academic community to make a return visit to Indonesia, especially to Palembang.
