
Strengthening the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, UIN Raden Fatah Palembang Signs MoU with the University of Philadelphia Jordan
State Islamic University (UIN) Raden Fatah Palembang visited and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Philadelphia in Jordan, which took place on Wednesday (6/12). The visit of the UIN Raden Fatah Palembang delegation was welcomed by the Rectorate and Senate as well as the Head of the Language Center of the University of Philapdelpia. The delegation of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang consisted of the Rector, Prof. Nyayu Khodijah, Vice Rector II, Dr. Abdul Hadi, M. Ag, Vice Rector III, Dr. Hamidah, M. Ag. Head of the Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs and Cooperation (AAKK), Drs. Jumari Iswadi, and Head of Internal Supervisory Unit (SPI), Deky Anwar, P.hD. The signing of the MoU and Cooperation of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang was carried out directly by the Rector Prof. Nyayu Khodijah, with the three University Leaders. In the MoU, it was agreed to establish cooperation in strengthening the Tri Dharma between the two campuses.
On this occasion, the deans at the University of Philadelphia each presented excellent programs to UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Similarly, the head of the language center of the University of Philadelphia also explained programs in language strengthening. Prof. Dr. Nyayu Khodijah seizes opportunities for cooperation on the Development and Strengthening of Arabic Language for the future Advanced Study Scholarship (PPSL) candidate program. “This collaboration is certainly an opportunity for UIN Raden Fatah Palembang to improve the quality and quality of education, including in strengthening and developing the Arabic language,” said UIN Rector Raden Fatah. Meanwhile, the leadership of the University of Philadelphia said that Philadelphia has 10 faculties with various programs that can be implemented together with UIN Raden Palembang.
“Philadelphia with 10 faculties owned and Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, we believe many things can be done in the development of cooperation in strengthening the development of MoU points that have been signed by both parties,” said the head of the University of Philadelphia.
