
Entering Europe, UIN Raden Fatah signs an MoU with Burgas Free University, Bulgaria
Raden Fatah Palembang State Islamic University (UIN) continues to strengthen its partnership network in the international arena and is committed to becoming a university with a global reputation through collaboration with international universities. One by one international cooperation through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed. Most recently, UIN Raden Fatah penetrated the European Continent through collaboration in the form of an MoU with Burgas Free University (BFU).
This signing was carried out directly with the Chancellor of Burgas Free University, Prof. Milen Baltov, Ph.D. and Chancellor of UIN Raden Fatah, Prof. Nyayu Khodijah, represented by Deputy Chancellor 1 for academic affairs, Prof. Muhammad Adil, MA., and witnessed directly by the Head of the Administration, General and Financial Planning Bureau, Dr. Dur Brutu, MA. took place in Burgas, Bulgaria, Monday, (3/6/24).
The MoU signing activity was carried out at 10 o’clock local time. Before meeting with the Chancellor, Deputy Chancellor, lecturers and other staff, the UIN Raden Fatah delegation was first welcomed by the President of Burgas Free University, Prof. Dr. Petko Chobanov in his room. Prof. Chobanov expressed high appreciation and enthusiasm for the presence of the UIN Raden Fatah Palembang Delegation. This is because UIN Raden Fatah is the first Indonesian campus to collaborate with BFU.
“Indonesia is my first top list country for diving,” he said.
Prof. Baltov hopes that this collaboration between the two universities can be the first step for the two institutions to become more active at the international level, especially in the context of lecturer recognition, student mobility and international publications.
“The key for a university to become great is through collaboration between institutions. “UIN Raden Fatah and Burgas Free University have started it,” he stressed.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor 1 for Academic Affairs at UIN Raden Fatah, Prof. Adil also agreed with this statement. Moreover, according to Prof. Fair, BFU is a university that has succeeded in receiving a grant from Erasmus+, a program from the European government which aims to advance the world of education.
“This international collaboration with BFU is an effort by UIN Raden Fatah to achieve a global reputation and advance the world of education,” he said.
The Chancellor of UIN Raden Fatah, Prof. Nyayu Khodijah. that UIN Raden Fatah continues to be committed to improving the quality of education and strives to achieve future targets of excellence at the international level. “After becoming a university with superior national level accreditation, UIN Raden Fatah’s next target is to excel at the international level, especially Southeast Asia,” concluded Prof. Nyayu Khodijah.
