
UIN Raden Fatah Palembang Establishes International Cooperation with UNISSA
The Rector of State Islamic University (UIN) Raden Fatah Palembang, Prof. Dr. Nyayu Khodijah, S.Ag, M.Si, extended the university’s international cooperation with the Rector of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) Brunei Darussalam, Dr. Hj. Norarfan Bin Haji Zainal. Tuesday, (27/06/2023). “This collaboration will strengthen the collaboration of the Tridharma of Higher Education including joint conferences and student exchanges as well as lecturer exchanges between the two universities,” said UIN Rector Raden Fatah, Prof. Dr. Nyayu Khodijah, S.Ag, M.Si, accompanied by Vice Rector I for Academic and Institutional Affairs Dr. Muhammad Adil, M.A. The Momorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing event is part of a series of events for the AIUA Annual General Meeting and the International Conference of Islamic Universities were inaugurated directly by the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah, accompanied by Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah Bolkiah.
Also present at the event was the Mufti of the Kingdom of Brunei Darrussalam, Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Haji Awang Othman, President of Al-Azhar University Egypt, Prof.Dr. Salama Gimaa Ali Daoud, Hamad bin Khalifah University of Qatar, Prof. Ibrahim Mohamed Zain, Rector of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin and President of AIUA, Prof. Dr. H. Mujiburrahman, Secretary General of AIUA from USAS Malaysia, Prof. Dato Dr Wan Sabri bin Wan Yusof, Rector of IIUM Malaysia, ), Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dato Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Roflee Waehama as Rector of Prince Songkla University, Pattani. Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah welcomed all AIUA members and expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this event. “We hope that this agenda and this collaboration can provide significant development for educational institutions throughout the country,” hoped Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, in front of AIUA representatives.
The Annual General Meeting and International Conference were also attended directly by the Coconut Representative of the Republic of Indonesia in Bandar Seri Begawan, Irwan Iding and Endang Dewi Mardeyani, Coordinator of the Socio-Cultural Information Function for Brunei Darussalam.
