UIN Rector Raden Fatah Attends the 93rd National Day Commemoration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Rector of Raden Fatah Islamic University (UIN) Palembang, Prof. Dr. Nyayu Khodijah, S.Ag, M.Si, attended the commemoration of the 93rd National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Grand Ballroom, Raffles Hotel, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday (25/09/2023) night.

The arrival of UIN Rector Raden Fatah was warmly welcomed by the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi.

Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Indonesia Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi expressed the full commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to strengthen cooperation with the Government of Indonesia through various kinds of collaboration in all aspects.

In addition, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also welcomed President Jokowi’s planned visit to Saudi Arabia in October.

“We welcome the visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to Saudi Arabia in October. This visit is expected to strengthen the contribution of relations between the two countries at the strategic level in all fields,” said Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi.

Rector of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang Prof. Nyayu also wished the 93rd Happy National Day for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“We from the academic community of all Islamic universities in Indonesia, especially UIN Raden Fatah Palembnag wish you the 93rd Happy National Day, hopefully the relationship that has been established between the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and UIN Raden Fatah will be closer,” said Prof. Nyayu.

Meanwhile, Minister of Religious Affairs (Win) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas as guest of honor in his speech appreciated the commitment of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which continues to foster relations and cooperation between Indonesia. The Minister gave hope of prosperity and prosperity to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“On behalf of the individual, government, and people of the Republic of Indonesia, I congratulate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in connection with the commemoration of the 93rd National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” said Gus Yaqut.

Furthermore, Gus Yaqut hopes that this cooperative relationship between Arabia and Indonesia will get an abundance of blessings and prosperity.

The National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or Al-Yaom-ul-Watany is a historic event for Saudi Arabia that occurred on September 23, 1932

King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, the visionary leader and founder of the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, issued a decree uniting the Kingdom of Najd and Hejaz under a new name, namely the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Arabic as its national language, and the Qur’an as its constitution. This unification marked the birth of the nation known today.

Diplomatic relations and cooperation between the Government of Indonesia and the Arab Kingdom have been established for hundreds of years, covering the fields of politics, education, socio-culture, trade, and investment.

Present at the celebration of the 93rd National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia included the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri, the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, the Ambassadors of Friendly Countries, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki, the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, and the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto.
