PR – UINRF — Chancellor of the State Islamic University (UIN) Raden Fatah Palembang Prof. Dr. Nyayu Khodijah, S.Ag., M.Si, received an Umrah invitation from the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Alu Saud.

Prof. Nyayu Khodijah said that the Umrah with the King’s invitation was held from January 3-14 2024. The Umrah congregation who received the honor numbered 58 people with various backgrounds, including academics, police, TNI, preachers, Avsec and public servants. other.

The Chancellor of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang gave his highest appreciation to King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, as well as to Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Alu Syaikh as Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia who has given this special invitation.

Prof. Nyayu also expressed his infinite gratitude to the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Indonesia, HE Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amudi and the Head of the Religious Attache of the Saudi Arabian Embassy (KBSA) Sheikh Ahmad bin Esa Al Hazem, for the good cooperation that has been established during this time, so that he can represent UIN Raden Fatah Palembang as a guest for King Salman’s Umrah.

“The welcome given to the invited Umrah guests was extraordinary, starting from the KBSA release in Jakarta, the release at the airport and also the arrival welcome by the Head of the KBSA Religious Attaché,” said the Chancellor.

Furthermore, the Chancellor also said that the programs specifically for the Umrah of the King’s guests were exceptional, because this Umrah invitation was also the result of cooperation between the government of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Indonesia.

“All participants are invited to visit historical places in Mecca and Medina, including the place where the Kiswah of the Kaaba was made, the Revelation Museum, a visit to the city of Taif, the Quba mosque, the site of the battle of Uhud, the center for printing King Fahd’s manuscripts and the extraordinary museum of the history of the Prophet which was developed in digital form and with sophisticated technology so that we can feel the presence of Rasulullah among us,” said Prof. Nyayu.

Not only that, Prof Nyayu also said that the invited Umrah guests had the opportunity to meet directly with the Imam of the Nabawi Mosque and also had the opportunity to meet the Deputy Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Da’wah HE Awwad Al Anzy.
