
UIN Raden Fatah Participates in Serumpun Malay KKN
Public Relations – UINRF — Raden Fatah Palembang State Islamic University (UIN) sent five student representatives to take part in the Serumpun Malay Real Work Lecture (KKN) to V in Sumatra which will take place from 20 July-28 August 2024.
The Serumpun Malay KKN was attended by 750 participants from 22 State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN), and this year the Langsa State Islamic Religious Institute (IAIN) hosted the activity and raised the theme “Islam and Serumpun Malay Culture in Aceh”.
Director General of Islamic Religious Higher Education (Dirjen Pendis) Indonesian Ministry of Religion, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Zainul Hamdi, M.Ag in his speech said, students are part of the village community who have intellectual abilities, so they play a role according to the needs of the community.
“Students participating in KKN must be a bridge to connect the community with related parties who can solve various basic problems occurring in villages,” said Prof. Ahmad Zainul Hamdi.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor of IAIN Langsa, Prof. Dr. Ismail Fahmi Arrauf Nasution, MA, invited KKN participants to make this activity a collaboration between ethnicities and cultures to improve the quality of life of the community.
“This service will be proof that students are making an effort to contribute to building civilization,” said Prof. Ismail Fahmi.
Previously, the Chancellor of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Prof. Dr. Nyayu Khodijah, S.Ag, M.Si, who was accompanied by the Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M), Dr. Komaruddin, M.Si, asked the Serumpun Melayu KKN representative ambassadors to maintain the good name of the institution and South Sumatra in their actions and attitudes in Aceh. “South Sumatra has strong values related to religious moderation, so spread these values of moderation to places of service,” he concluded.
