
79th Republic of Indonesia Anniversary: Rector Emphasizes National Commitment and Strengthens the Professional Integrity of ASN
PR – UINRF – Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang held a ceremony commemorating the 79th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, on the grounds of the Sudirman campus of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Saturday (17/08/2024).
The 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony was attended by the leaders, the entire academic community, new students of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, teachers, as well as joint flag raisers from Paskibraka MAN 2 and MA Al Falah Palembang
This year’s ceremony to commemorate the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia carried the theme “New Nusantara, Advanced Indonesia”. This theme shows that Indonesia needs a great new spirit as well as unity and equality to achieve all goals.
During the ceremony, the Rector of UIN Raden Fatah, Prof. Dr. Nyayu Khodijah, S.Ag., M.Si acted as the ceremony inspector in her mandate to read the remarks from the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia K. H. Yaqut Cholil Qoumas
“In fact, independence is a mandate that must be maintained through progress, that is why we are here with respect and commitment to continue development. We always commemorate Indonesia’s independence every year, this is a momentum to strengthen the direction of development while building national commitment as a pillar of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). The Republic of Indonesia’s anniversary, which was greeted enthusiastically throughout the country, is actually also a symbol of respect for the founding fathers of the nation,” said the Rector reading the remarks from the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia.
Furthermore, Prof. Nyayu conveyed in her remarks that the values of independence could be implemented by strengthening the integrity and professionalism of ASN, becoming role models in carrying out their duties to ensure that every decision was based on the noble values of religion and Pancasila. The Ministry of Religion has prepared a program to increase the capacity of the State Civil Servant (ASN) so that they are ready for all the changes that occur.
“The ASN of the Ministry of Religion must move to strengthen cooperation with various parties, both internal and external. There is no progress without cooperation, which is why the ASN of the Ministry of Religion must be able to establish good communication, share knowledge and support each other in order to achieve national goals,” continued Rector.
At the end of her speech, the Rector reminded the ASN of the Ministry of Religion to be at the forefront of guarding inclusive, moderate and tolerant religious diversity. As well as ensuring that the Ministry of Religion is present as a professional public servant.
“It is hoped that the ASN of the Ministry of Religion, especially at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, will continue to be committed to advancing Indonesia, strengthening the integrity and professionalism of ASN in their efforts to serve the country,” she asserted.
In this ceremony, a giant flag was also raised by Nature Lover Students (Mapala) on the grounds of the Sudirman Campus of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.
